Development of
a Spirit Filled Spirit Led Life
Born again Christians develop a Spirit led life
KJV John 16:13 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will
guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come.
KJV Hebrews 8:10-12 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will
put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be
to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11And they
shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every
man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least
to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and
their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
KJV Philippians 2:9-13 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a
name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father. 12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not
as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God which worketh
in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
KJV John 6:44 44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent
me draw him: and I will raise him up
at the last day
KJV Romans 6:16
16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves
servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto
death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
KJV Hebrews 2:3-4
3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great
salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was
confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and
wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to
his own will?
KJV Acts 1:8 8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost
is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the
earth.
KJV John 1:11-13 11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as
many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of
the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Our relationship with a Holy God is through the
Spirit
KJV Romans 8:1-14 1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which
are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the
law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin
and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak
through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and
for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For they
that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are
after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be
spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for
it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then
they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye
are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have
not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of
sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if
the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12Therefore,
brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if
ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are
the sons of God.
KJV Romans 8:26 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth
our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
KJV Galatians
5:13-21 13For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only
use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 14For
all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself. 15But if
ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be
not consumed one of another. 16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall
not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For
the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so
that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under
the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which
are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told
you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God.
The Fruit of the Spirit is evidence of Christ in Us
KJV Galatians 5:22-26
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness,
temperance: against such there is no
law. 24And
they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and
lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the
Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of
vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
The Spirit will operate in the Church and Our Life
KJV Ephesians 4:3-7; 11-13 3Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are
called in one hope of your calling; 5One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6One
God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7But
unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of
Christ. … 11And
he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness
of Christ:
The Gifts of the Spirit are operational today
KJV 1 Corinthians 12:1-14; 27-31 1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would
not have you ignorant. 2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these
dumb idols, even as ye were led. 3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man
speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:
and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. 4Now there
are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are differences of administrations, but
the same Lord. 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is
the same God which worketh all in all. 7But the
manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one
is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of
knowledge by the same Spirit; 9To
another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by
the same Spirit; 10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy;
to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues;
to another the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh
that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he
will. 12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all
the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13For by
one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles,
whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14For
the body is not one member, but many. … 27Now
ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28And God
hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings,
helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
29Are
all apostles? are
all prophets? are all teachers? are
all workers of miracles? 30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
KJV Acts 2:4 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
